Artist Center of Yates County – Penn, Yan:

A Gem in Yates County

A recent trip to the Artist Center featured a beginners glass blowing glass upstairs, and an exhibition gallery with work for sale from Finger Lakes artists downstairs. The Art Center was built inside of a former bank. They even kept the vault in the back!

The Cracker Factory, Geneva NY

The Cracker Factory building, built in the early 1900s, was first home to Geneva Forge, a cutlery manufacturer. In 2007, Miles and May Furniture Works moved their production to the first story and began renovations on the previously unoccupied building. Since 2010, the second floor gallery space has been in use for art shows, concerts and events. This 65,000 square foot factory is now home to wedding receptions, concerts, art openings, pop up food and drink events, and more!

Founded in 1982, The conservatory began with one faculty member and ten students. Today it is a major asset to the community.
